If Martin Luther King sarcastically initiated his letter to the clergy regarding their beliefs about the cops, they would probably shut off to his ideas and causes why he had acted unwisely and untimely. The way Martin Luther King organized his thoughts and messages allowed the audience (in this case the clergy) to justify properly what he did by mainly logic. As he saved the claim he ties up his letter by allowing the clergy to reflect on their claims. With all the reasons that Martin Luther King Jr. at the beginning to the end it makes the clergy go back to reality and reflect on what they had done and believed.
Martin Luther King was very wise when it came to organizing events in a paper. He understood the thinking of the clergy men and knew how to make them read on. If he were to mention this earlier, it would of been very ineffective and it could of caused the clergy to ignore the rest. But with the conclusion of the letter, King is able to tie the current issues that the clergy yet don't realize, thus allowing them to see their mistakes and think it over.
